Welcome to eNetworkadmin.net. The goal of this site is to help make the task of network administration a little easier for you. Some key components that eNetworkadmin will focus on are low cost and open source tools as well as automation scripts. I have often searched for years, for a particular type of tool, such as a scriptable and extensible, syslog monitor, with little luck. When I did find the tool, I realized very few people knew about it. Another monitoring and automation tool, I have been searching for recently, is an effective simple tool for monitoring a very very large Cisco wireless installation. Again, the only tools, I have been able to find are very expensive and require a significant investment in time and resources. In response I have built my own open source based monitoring scripts and tools to help.

Not Code Hounds
As you will see, many of the scripts are a clever use of open source tools combined with Unix utilities. This site is really intended for people with little coding expertise. If you do have a greater level of coding expertise, I would welcome suggestions of useful scripts and tools. If I do veer into the realm of coding, it will probably be very basic and well explained. Ocassionally, I also come across a simple valuable tool, such as Netdepit and will place it in the “Recommended Products” section.
